Course Outline
This course focuses on the foundation of caring. It covers a wide variety of subjects in the discipline that requires excellence in health care delivery. Study covers all areas of health care, foundations of nursing, assistance with human needs, promoting integrated care; legal and ethical issues.

The course includes on-the-job training and assessment as this is an integral component of each competency. Both in house training in an industry setting environment and vocational placement are provided.

Diploma of Nursing - Enrolled/Division 2 Nursing (HLT51607)

This course is conducted by HIC under a Course Delivery Service Agreement with  tafeSouth Australia (CRICOS Number 00092B). On completion, students will graduate with a qualification parchment issued by tafeSouth Australia.

Outcomes

Earnings
– Competitive income opportunities exist to both students and graduates.

Career – Graduates of the course with appropriate level of English proficiency, can apply to the Nurses’ Board of South Australia for enrolment as an enrolled nurse. Once registered, application can be made in other states and territories of Australia.

Further education
– Graduates may continue their studies in the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing degree in the University of South Australia and Flinders University.

Permanent Residency
– Under current regulations, enrolled nurses with appropriate sponsorship have the opportunity to apply for Permanent Residency status to remain living in Australia after completion of their studies.
